The brand with the Three Stripes celebrates the comeback of the A-ZX series with a total of 26 drops. Ten sneakers have now been dropped, with the adidas ZX 5000 "The U" being the 11th sneaker from the big pack and the result of a partnership with the football team of University of Miami, the Miami Hurricanes.
How Did the Collab with the Miami Hurricanes Come About?
The Miami Hurricanes are currently celebrating two of their longest winning streaks in NCAA Division I — the highest level of sports programmes in American universities. For the collaboration with adidas, the football team has chosen a rather clean colourway.
A lightweight base of mesh and durable leather provide a foundation for the metallic details in the rear, which have a two-part colour scheme and play on the colours of the Miami Hurricanes.
