It's actually quite rare for a sneaker store to drop its very own sneaker. Normally, online shops sell the hottest shoes from top brands and also provide information about sought-after releases. Not at AFEW, though, because this shop will soon be releasing its own sneaker.

It's all about the German-based boutique AFEW now. The retailer unveils its new silhouette and also announces the date for the first drop. The sneaker is called AFEW GOODS Yamasura, and the colourway is called "Soil".

AFEW spent an incredible three years developing the sneaker, and the aim of the project was to create a sustainable sneaker with a timeless aesthetic. The vegan leather is sourced from Portugal and thus saves a lot of CO2. The other parts are made from recycled material, while the midsole, inspired by the legendary Ferrari Testarossa, is made from algae to promote sustainable initiatives.
