New Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X Combines Old and New

The React cushioning has been an integral part of Nike for quite some time. New and old silhouettes are combined with the comfortable cushioning and in turn show a completely new sneaker. This week, the Beaverton-based brand looks back at the archives once again and creates its best classic ever with the React cushioning.

The beloved Air Force 1 is put back on the operating table and reissued once again. The fan favorite is supposed to wear the futuristic React sole without changing the overall style. Only slight changes can still be seen on the upper, however.

A bright white dominates the Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X. The base layer is a light mesh that covers the sides, tongue, and toe box. On top you see a printed black Swoosh that replaces the otherwise cut-out Swoosh. Finally, the new sneaker gets its name from the insertable React sole, while further back is an embedded Ramp Air unit.

The many elements give the AF1 the D/MS/X that distinct style: functional inserts are combined with a contemporary-looking yet otherwise traditional look.

According to Nike, we will soon get a taste of it this week. The release calendar announces the Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X for January 17th.
