Nike Designs Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection with Brave Children from OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital

The Doernbecher Children's Hospital is a children's hospital that has existed in Portland, Oregon for 93 years. The academic teaching hospital has been working with Nike since 2004. Meanwhile, Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital have generated $24 million since their partnership.

For Nike's new collection, the brand with the Swoosh gives brave children what is called "The Super Six"--the opportunity to design their own sneakers. Their ideas and artistic freedom can be found on five Nikes and one Jordan.

Six kids have responded to represent their inner selves: The Empath, The Beacon, The Speed Demon, The Heavy Hitter, The Daredevil, and The Fighter. Each design is inspired by The Super Six's struggle with each disease: Type 1 diabetes, traumatic brain injury, congenital heart disease, kidney cancer, brain tumor, and Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Check out the unique Nike sneaker designs of these brave children from OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital! The collection includes popular Nike silhouettes such as the Nike SB Zoom Janoski RM, React Element 55, Air Jordan 14 Retro, Air Max Triax 96, Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2, and Air Force 1.

Nike announces the release of the Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 collection on December 7th.

Unfortunately, the collection will not be dropping here in Germany. If you don't want to miss the next news, you should definitely download our free Grailify app. With it, you don't have to worry about keeping up to date.
