Sometime in October 2018, Samuel Ross altered the map of the sneaker world by introducing the A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Zoom Vomero +5. By bringing back this cult classic from the ’00s, he paved the way for an entirely new sneaker trend that paid homage to all things retro. Barely a year later, the same fashion genius is at it again with an awesome new colourway, and the hype is so real it gives us the chills!

We’ve just about caught a glimpse of the new “Solarised” earlier this year, and now it’s certainly living up to the hype with its unique design. The shoe uses a brilliant earth tone palette, which is hand-dyed perfectly, ensuring that no two pairs will be exactly the same. It consists of a premium upper made of high quality materials with the PU coating removed, allowing the environment to facilitate the aging process, lending the overall look a pretty badass appeal. 

Other features of the design include a sock lining in dark red as well as matching laces. In addition, the designer has added a heel counter in black—a nod to the classic Vomero, which, when removed, will reveal a nicely done grill-like pattern that completes the entire “Solarised” palette.
