adidas for Prada Re-Source: Fans Can Help Create an NFT

Last week, Prada and adidas released their latest re-nylon collection. Several sneakers and apparel completed the fashion label and sporting goods manufacturer's modern collection, but their new project now takes a different path. This time, it's all about an NFT.

adidas announced that the new collab with Prada will be a digital one. They are also asking fans to help them create an NFT. We have summarised what this is all about and how exactly it works for you here.

How to Participate in the adidas for Prada Re-Source Project

A total of 3,000 fans and NFT holders will be working together to create a new non-fungible token that will be brought to life by digital artist Zach Lieberman. To participate in this adidas for Prada re-source project, all you have to do is register with your digital wallet at adidas.com/Prada-NFT on January 24th, submit a photo, and use a filter designed by Lieberman.

Later, a total of 3,000 individual tiles will be used, assembled into one large mosaic and then embossed into a single NFT. From January 26th to 27th, creators can then return to the website and have their photo contribution embossed as an NFT for free. The final Prada x adidas NFT will then be auctioned on the SuperRare digital art marketplace from January 28th to 31st.

Prada x adidas NFT creators Will Be Rewarded

You will be rewarded if you are one of the 3,000 creators to contribute to the NFT. 80% of the proceeds will go to the climate change organisations Slow Factory and UNESCO Sea Beyond, 5% will go to Zach Lieberman, and 15% will be split evenly between all creators who will be contributing to the final artwork.

How Do I Become a Creator?

Now, for the most important question: How do I go about becoming one of 3,000 Creators? All 3,000 places are selected at random. 1,000 of the spots are reserved for holders of the adidas Originals Into the Metaverse NFT, 500 spots will go to users who have tried to "mine" an adidas Originals Into the Metaverse NFT but failed, and 1,500+ (if not every user taking the chance) for the rest who register as soon as possible on January 24th.
