This year's Air Max Day celebration from Nike did not disappoint, as the Swoosh brought back Tinker Hatfield's iconic 1986 sneaker to evoke nostalgia. The '86 edition of the Air Max 1 has an unexpectedly generous bubble sole and revolutionised the sneaker world when it launched over 30 years ago. This month, insiders revealed a new version of the classic called "Indigo Haze". The new look of the Nike Air Max 1 '86 in various shades of blue with the signature oversized sole is causing quite a stir.
Suede overlays, mesh toe boxes, pleated collars and white finishes lend cohesion to the design, while signature features such as interior sizing and an angelic midsole with enlarged cushioning bubbles complete the design. Nike has yet to confirm the pair, but will reportedly release the Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Indigo Haze" later this year.
