The Air Jordan Hybrid models have divided fans for years - you either love them or you hate them. The debate around these models intensifies every time a new version is released. Just recently, Jordan Brand announced the new MVP 678 in black and royal, which is likely to be met with equal amounts of enthusiasm and disapproval from both sides. These mash-ups take iconic designs from Air Jordans worn by Michael himself when he won his six titles back in the day and bring them together in a creative way.
 
Although the silhouette resembles an Air Jordan 6 from afar, it is actually heavily inspired by the Air Jordan 7 and 8: The AJ7's midfoot and toe box can be seen on the outside of the shoe, while a multi-coloured pattern from the AJ8 can be seen on the heel above the Air unit. A pattern of the AJ7 can also be seen under the black translucent tongue, and NIKE AIR on the heel completes the MJ-approved design.
