Today, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "5x Champion" drops at selected retailers. The cop will be damn difficult, because the colourway is one of the best. If you are not one of the lucky ones, you can buy the sneakers later at reseller platforms like StockX. But the price will probably be much higher.

Today, Nike unveils the sneaker and apparel collection from "Mamba Week", which starts on August 23rd. No fewer than five sneakers are to drop and honour Kobe Bryant during this special week. Unfortunately, there is also bad news about the collection. All pieces are only dropping in North America. Here, you can find the best pictures and the release dates.

The year 2020 began with a very heavy tragedy. On January 26th, an accident happened on a remote field in Calabasas, California, when basketball legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, the pilot and six other passengers were killed in a helicopter crash.
The shock is still deeply felt today. Nike is now officially announcing that it will honour the Black Mamba for a whole week. The Beaverton brand continues the legacy on August 23rd and will be releasing two great colourways to remind us of the legend. Nike is also donating a very large sum of money and setting further goals for the future. The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation will receive $1 million and the Mamba League will continue to be supported by Nike.
Major releases include the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Big Stage Parade" and the "Lakers". On August 23rd, Nike is scheduled to release the "Big Stage Parade", which is a mix of the Big Stage colourway from the 2010 NBA Final and the graphic mosaic from the Championship Parade PE. This will be followed by the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lakers" on August 24th. This is a day of remembrance for the whole world, as it is the number Kobe had on his Jersey.
