R.I.P. Kobe Bryant

Late Sunday evening, a message came online that shook the whole world. Basketball legend Kobe Bryant has just passed away. The Lakers player perished in a helicopter crash on 26 January 2020 at the age of 41. It is also believed that his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant was also in the same helicopter.

Not only is Kobe’s family mourning this great loss, but also the entire basketball and sports world. The basketball player was very much known for taking a lot of trips in his helicopter. Kobe also flew to his Lakers games in his Sikorsky S-76.

The helicopter crash was on a remote field in Calabasas, California. Besides Kobe Bryant and his daughter, the pilot and six other passengers were deemed to be on board. All were in fact on their way to a basketball tournament in Calabasas.

With Kobe Bryant passing, one of the greatest sportsmen of all time has left us too early.

The family man leaves behind his wife and three daughters.
