Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Dear Summer" Collection
Update 06.08.2021
So far, no big releases are planned for Saturday. Nike is taking a break before SNKRS Day begins on Sunday, August 8th. That's why we're using this time to prepare you for August 9th. Right after that, the huge Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Dear Summer" collection with a total of 50 colourways will drop. Yesterday, Nike drew attention to this in the SNKRS app and mentioned the points to be aware of, which we list here again.
Excerpt from June 18th
The Nike SNKRS app is one of the most important apps in the sneaker community. It's where shoe crazies get lots of hip sneakers. And for the upcoming release of the 50 pairs of Off-White x Nike Dunks, you should keep an eye on the app more now. According to Nike, the 50 sneakers will be released there via Exclusive Access. But how do you get on Nike's VIP list? There are a few factors that help the internal algorithm make the selection. Here's what you need to know about Exclusive Access:
- Exclusive Access invitations extend personalised purchase offers to SNKRS community members based on their engagement in the SNKRS app.
- The more active a member of the community is, both in engaging with SNKRS content and with specific publications, the more personalised the Exclusive Access invitations become.
- Activity includes specific content, including watching "Behind the Design" videos, interacting with surveys, participating in launches and joining SNKRS live sessions.
- Invitations for exclusive access to the Off-White x Nike Dunk on SNKRS will be available to select community members on August 9th and will last for several days.
- Exclusive Access invitations are only valid for a limited time.
Basically, you could summarise the points briefly: Be active in the Nike SNKRS app. Inactive members will probably not receive an Exclusive Access invitation.
Update 05.08.2021
Lucian Dickson of Nike has now announced some details for the upcoming Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Dear Summer" collection. All 50 LOT-colourways will drop randomly via SNKRS Exclusive Access. Nike members with Exclusive Access will therefore not be able to choose a colourway, but only one of the available sizes.
In addition, the insider adds that watching the episodes of SNKRS Live will not increase the chances of getting an Exclusive Access. Rather, "hardcore fans" of Nike and Off-White are more likely to get a chance to buy. More info about Nike SNKRS will be announced in the coming days.
We will continue to follow the matter for you and notify you in case of updates. The sneakers cost around 180€ each and will be shipped over a period of two weeks.
Update 02.08.2021
We are getting closer to the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Dear Summer" collection. More and more images reporting on the extensive range are surfacing on the web, and they consist of 50 sneakers in total. Twenty pairs are made of hairy suede/canvas, and 30 pairs are made of leather/canvas.
Today, we get detailed images of the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "16 of 50", which is made of suede and canvas. Additionally, blue rope laces, blue tags, and orange plugs in the midsole refine the design. Expect a fall drop and check out the Nike info below.

Update 15.06.2021
The Virgil Abloh-designated "Dear Summer" collection (and "The 50" by fans) has been an extensive project since 2017's "The Ten", which was previously thought to be a "The 20" collection with nearly two dozen different Dunks. But now, we're sure because the collection includes more than twice as many Dunks and is partly made of a leather-canvas mix or suede-leather combo.
Designer Virgil Abloh has yet to give a name to the exact inspiration for such great work, but that info will surely be released soon. What is certain, however, is that the collection marks an important turning point in the history of the Dunk.
Update 01.06.2021
After a few weeks, new detailed images of the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "50 of 50" have finally surfaced. The individual details can now be examined very closely. Information on the remaining Dunks from the extensive "Dear Summer" is unfortunately still missing, which is why we will have to be content with this for the time being.
Update 27.05.2021
Designer Virgil Abloh has now personally revealed new info on Off-White and Nike's new collection. Abloh confirmed the project with the Beaverton-based brand on Instagram, giving it the title Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Dear Summer". Along with this, we get detailed shots of the shoe box.
The designer writes: "It was ©2017 when I started drawing these 10 Nike shoes. In my mind, they are not literal shoes but rather sculptures, a full-fledged art object made in multiple editions and somewhat rare," he describes in his post. "They exist in a space all their own. Where the action condenses on the design side is the portal to tell stories as vivid as an HOV triple entendre or a Jeezy ad-lib..."
Update 20.05.2021
Now, we have a first look at the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "01 of 50" and "21 of 50". Exact information about the release date is, unfortunately, still missing, but they are aiming for a drop in autumn 2021.
Update 16.04.2021
Somehow, many styles from the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "THE 50" collection have already been revealed, but actually, Nike or Virgil haven't confirmed the new batch of Dunks yet. Now, we've got a first look at the Dunk #50 by 50 from sneaker leaker @repgod888.
The famously last sneaker from the collection combines old and familiar features from Off-White's past collabs with Nike. The sneakers are finished in black and feature signature branding from Abloh such as coloured labels on the Swoosh, industrial text on the medial sides, and silver metallic Swooshes reminiscent of 2018's Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "MoMA".
The cut-out detailing on the tongues is also very recognisable as last seen on the Off-White x Air Jordan 5.
Unfortunately, there is no release date for the entire Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "THE 50" collection yet, but we can perhaps expect a fall 2021 drop.
Original article 22.03.2021
We're still waiting for new images of the Off-White x Nike "THE 20" collection", but before we see more of that, images of a sneaker that could give away a new collection are now surfacing on the net.
While the collection has not been confirmed, the few details suggest that the next drop will be an Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "THE 50" collection.
It is assumed that each Dunk from the collection will receive a "Sail/Neutral Grey" colourway. Only the laces, signature Off-White branding, and numbered badges on the midsoles appear to vary. Then there are the exposed foam tongues and large Virgil Abloh-style holes.
Don't Miss the Release of the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "THE 50" Collection
Just a few days ago, Virgil was laughing off the latest leaks of the "THE 20" collection, but perhaps we were just on the wrong track? In any case, we'll stay tuned and let you know when we get new updates.
