Release on 16 February for €210. With the 1890, New Balance is introducing a completely new lifestyle model in 2026 – and leaving the first big appearance to Action Bronson. His version is called ‘Cyborg Tears’ and stays true to the eye-catching baklava aesthetic that his previous collabs are known for.
The design combines a breathable mesh upper with wave-shaped cut-out overlays in the forefoot area, inspired by the 890v3. Added to this are synthetic TPU elements, reflective details and a full-length ABZORB midsole, which is visually reminiscent of the 2002R. In terms of colour, Bronson has opted for layered shades of blue, silver accents, a teal green ‘N’ logo and red highlights on the midsole. Rope laces and eye-catching co-branding with BAKLAVA, 1890 and ABZORB logos round off the technical look.
The 1890 also delivers on the technical front: ABZORB cushioning absorbs impact forces through a combination of cushioning and compression resistance, while the robust rubber outsole ensures stability in everyday use. Another colourway called ‘Hornet Tusk’ has already been teased, but concrete information is still pending.
