TLDR: The adidas Pampanga SPZL brings a rare 80s sneaker from the archives back into the present - with black suede, vintage details and a modern cut. The release is planned for 27 March 2025 and costs €130. As always, you can find all release info and shops at Grailify. The adidas SPZL series is known for its deep archive digs - and with the Pampanga SPZL, a real insider tip from the past is unearthed. Inspired by the legendary adidas Squire, which was produced in the Philippines in the 80s, this new model not only bears a geographically fitting name, but also the DNA of days gone by.
The upper is made of premium suede in deep black and is modernised by a completely revised upper design with a narrower toebox and classic T-toe overlays. The vulcanised retro sole remains true to the Squire and at the same time ensures a clean, flat look.
With this release, Gary Aspden once again expands the creative scope of the SPZL range by transforming an almost forgotten model from the global adidas archives into a fresh lifestyle piece.
