Twenty years after its original debut, the Air Jordan 4 “Tour Yellow” is receiving its first retro release. The 2006 pair formed part of Jordan Brand’s Lifestyle series, which explored fresh colour combinations beyond Michael Jordan’s familiar Chicago-inspired palette.
Premium white leather forms the upper alongside matching mesh panels. Black support wings introduce a sharp contrast, while translucent eyelets and “Dark Blue Grey” details complete the more restrained upper section.
The defining feature appears beneath the white construction. A bright “Tour Yellow” midsole covered in black speckles wraps around the shoe, accompanied by additional white and black sections. Visible Air cushioning in the heel retains the traditional comfort of the Air Jordan 4, while a black herringbone-pattern rubber outsole provides traction underfoot.
The “Rare Air” designation refers to the interchangeable hook-and-loop labels on the tongue. The Jumpman Flight patch can be removed or flipped to reveal concealed “Jordan Rare Air” branding underneath. Additional swappable labels allow the appearance to be personalised. A Jumpman logo on the leather heel tab stays faithful to the rear construction of the original release.
