First introduced in 1964, the adidas Japan, originally developed for the start of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, gets a striking update from Brain Dead. The collaboration comes in two versions: one in brown, olive and yellow, and one in black, blue and white. Both versions feature luxurious leather and fluffy, flame-shaped suede on the heel and toe, as well as custom-made fluffy laces. Golden co-branding on the side and a pre-yellowed midsole finish emphasise the vintage character.
The design also draws on iconic details such as the heel pull tab, which was already part of the original's DNA.
