With the Air Trainer SC, Nike looks back at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Whilst the popular 2016 anniversary version still featured teal, the new edition for the 30th anniversary boasts a significantly more sophisticated look with rich Pro Purple as the main colour.

The upper combines high-quality, napped suede with matching leather overlays. White details on the tongue, laces, strap and midsole provide contrast, whilst metallic gold accents perfectly highlight the Olympic inspiration.

Particularly striking are the many hidden storytelling elements. On the right tongue is an embroidered peach as a tribute to Atlanta and the state of Georgia. The insoles feature a ‘96’ graphic as a direct reference to the Games, whilst the multicoloured transparent outsole picks up on the iconic colours of the Atlanta Olympic branding.
