With the Book 2 “Detroit Stompers”, Devin Booker continues his series of Detroit-inspired releases. Although the NBA star has been playing for Phoenix for years, his Nike range repeatedly draws on his connection to Michigan and his home state’s sports teams.

The “Detroit Stompers” maintains a particularly understated aesthetic. An almost entirely black – or very dark – upper forms the base, whilst shiny patent Swooshes add a touch of contrast to the look. The key detail is on the heel: there, the familiar Old English “D” appears, which is strongly associated with Detroit’s sporting culture.
