Nike KD19 "Blueberry Blast"

With the KD 19, Nike continues its series of monochrome colourways. Following on from variants such as ‘Purple Stuff’, ‘Orange Crush’ and ‘Candy Apple’, Kevin Durant’s current signature model now sports an all-blue look, which, depending on the source, is also referred to as ‘Candy Paint Blue’.

The ‘Still Blue’ shade covers virtually the entire sneaker. From the moulded upper, through the laces and tongue, right down to the midsole and outsole, the colourway remains consistently monochrome. Even the Swooshes blend tonally into the design, whilst darker KD logos on the tongue and green details on the insoles provide a touch of contrast.

Particularly striking is the glossy, almost metallic upper. The angular lines and Foamposite-style construction give the KD 19 a futuristic look, whilst also evoking older performance models from the Nike archive.

The colourway was first unveiled in a locker-room campaign featuring Drake, who has appeared alongside Durant on several occasions during the KD 19 rollout so far.
