With the ‘Grand Opening,’ Nike celebrates the beginning of an extraordinary career. The colourway commemorates 29 October 2003, when the then 18-year-old LeBron James scored 25 points in his NBA debut. This premiere marked the beginning of his journey to becoming ‘The King.’

The upper combines white textile with a red knit structure and is complemented by gold details on the Swoosh, eyelets and LJ23 logo on the heel. The inner collar is adorned with the hidden date ‘10-29-2003’, referring to his first appearance. A semi-transparent outsole gives the shoe a modern look, while a lion-like pattern on the upper emphasises his dominance today.

Technically, the LeBron 23 remains a high-performance basketball shoe with a focus on stability, cushioning and control. In keeping with the storyline, the sneaker comes in an elegant, matte black box with gold details.
