Nike continues its storytelling series around the LeBron 23 – and with the ‘LeBronto,’ one of the most famous moments in LeBron James' career gets its own colourway. The sneaker commemorates the 2018 playoff series when LeBron dominated the Toronto Raptors with the Cleveland Cavaliers, including a legendary buzzer beater. It was during this phase that the nickname ‘LeBronto’ was coined.

Visually, the shoe picks up on this narrative with many symbolic details. The upper is made of a breathable knit in beige tones, covered with numerous meteor graphics. These symbolise the offensive explosions with which LeBron repeatedly overwhelmed the Raptors in the playoffs.

A striking mudguard in metallic bronze forms a crown-like structure and has a reptilian scale texture. A dinosaur fossil emblem sits on the heel – a clear reference to the ‘extinction’ of the Raptors during this playoff series. Metallic gold Swooshes complete the eye-catching look.

The LeBron 23 also focuses on modern performance in terms of technology. A full-length ZoomX midsole provides strong cushioning, while an integrated carbon fibre shaft offers additional stability.
