TLDR: The Overkill x adidas Consortium ZX 8000 ‘The Missing Link’ combines the classic ZX silhouette with the design language of the Equipment era. Leather, textile and details in Equipment Green are paired with striking Overkill branding. The trainer is already available for €140. For “The Missing Link”, Overkill poses an intriguing question: what would a collaboration between the ZX and Equipment lines have looked like in 1994? The ZX 8000 retains its familiar construction but adopts the colour scheme of the ZX 8094 hybrid model, which is also included in the pack.
The upper combines leather and textile in Cloud White and Onix. Details in Equipment Green, distressed accents and colour-coordinated Three Stripes bring the signature EQT look to this classic running shoe. Overkill branding on the heel, tongue, insole and Torsion Bar emphasise the collaborative nature of the design.
The tried-and-tested Torsion system continues to provide stability in the midfoot. Additionally, two further sets of laces and co-branded lace tags are included, allowing you to customise the look.
