The Dunk High by Concepts and Nike SB appeared earlier in September and was a mysterious sneaker from the beginning. Now, Nike has finally confirmed the collab with the retailer from Boston and already published detailed pictures.
Thanksgiving is a public holiday in the USA and is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday in November. This year, however, the day will probably be celebrated differently due to the coronavirus. Concepts and Nike SB meet together to create an incredible Dunk High sneaker with an inspiring colourway.
Concepts has been inspired by the traditional lavish and festive roast, the turducken. The sneakers resemble a boned chicken with special duck prints on the lining.
"The idea was formulated with a view to the food, football, and friendship that characterises the holiday season. It has a history of origins — the turducken, a Louisiana staple food made famous nationwide by sports commentators — and it is gaining ground to serve as a symbol of the community atmosphere spread by skate shops around the world. We have always believed that a core element of skate shops is the family element," said Deon Point, Creative Director of Concepts.
Where You Can Buy the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High "TurDUNKen"
The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High TurDUNKen will be dropped on November 14th at Concepts' flagship stores in Boston and New York and at cncpts.com. More pairs will follow on November 20th at selected skate shops and on November 21st at Nike SNKRS. You will also receive a special shoe box and a Nerf football with a turkey leg design.

Concepts and Nike are popular collab partners. In recent years, the two brands have created incredible colourways, and this autumn season, Nike and Concepts are said to be reviving their collaboration with another SB Dunk.
Among the biggest sneakers in our opinion are the Purple and Green Lobster Nike SB Dunk, but now, another Dunk could well take the top spot this season. Instead of the typical low version, we are supposed to see a high version with different materials in just a few weeks.
Buttery soft as well as smooth materials like leather and suede cover the toe box, side panels, and overlays. The Swooshes have a shimmering effect as well as an asymmetrical colourway. The outer Swoosh is blue, and the inner Swoosh is green.
Other highlights include the printed lining, special tongue tags, and insoles. The yellow leather tongue tags have Concepts branding on the inside, and the lining is printed with trees and ducks.
