The Best Weed-Inspired Sneakers!
As you may know, today is April 20th and probably the greenest holiday of all. We celebrate plants and trees on this sunny "Global Ganja celebration day". And how could Grailify HQ celebrate this special day if not by listing the best kicks for the occasion. Have fun with the best weed-inspired sneakers!
Nike Air Max 90 x Patta „Homegrown“: You got the name, right? You also know that the collaborative sneaker store comes from Amsterdam, the European capital of marijuana? Actually, it's dedicated to the Dutch hip-hop scene, where, surprise surprise, weed has a firm place!
Nike Dunk „Skunk“: This is something for the overt stoner. Someone who is proud to be a stoner and wants to communicate that to the world with their shoes.
Nike SB Dunk „Cheech & Chong“: Inspired by one of the greatest pairs from stoner movies, the "Cheech & Chong" Dunk comes with a very special feature. You buy the shoe with an almost all-white upper with some red paisley detailing, but after wearing it the outer skin peels off to reveal the herb-coloured textile underneath, reminiscent of a burning joint - a cool concept (pun intended).
Nike Dunk „Blunt & Cigars“: This one is a bit tricky, as it's more dedicated to the cigar smoking scene in Florida. But let's face it, your first thought was to inhale, wasn't it?
adidas Superstar „Philly Blunt": Inspired by the "Phillies Cigar Brand" this shoe unfortunately never made it into production - the "Philly Blunt" is the most subtly executed sneaker in our list, but the texture of the leather is clearly inspired by the texture of a Blunt.
Bait x adidas Stan Smith Vulc „4/20“: Bait has always been good at the collab game, but this one is just great - the Stan Smith Vulc is special because it's the first sneaker inspired by medical marijuana. Nice gadget: you can hide your "stuff" in a little pocket in the tongue. By the way, the "4/20" is being launched today!
Reebok Ventilator Supreme „Cam'ron“: Perhaps the best stoner-inspired collaboration of the year! Reebok has teamed up with Harlem's Cam'ron to bring his "Purple Haze" album to the Ventilator Supreme sneaker silhouette. While the upper is purple, the insoles are perhaps the most Killa Cam-esque part of the shoe - they are adorned with the iconic image of Cam'ron in a pink fur holding a pink flip phone. Just like the previously mentioned Stan Smith, this shoe also launches today!
Vans Vault OG „Palm Leaf Pack“: This model makes us laugh a little. It's actually called "Palm Leaf" - are you serious? Well, the case is closed, for reasons.
