Taking centre stage in the sneaker storm, the new New Balance 1906R "Polka Dot" is a standout example of the unique interpretations of the model that could be released this year. With New Balance having just launched its sustainability-focused 'Reconsidered' resale programme, this fresh 'polka dot' twist is catching everyone's eye.

It promises to be a big year for the 1906, with Action Bronson releasing three 1906Rs and Salehe Bembury recently releasing his "Heat Be Hot" pack with two pairs of 1906Rs. 
 
The "Polka Dot" version now joins this line-up, picking up a monochrome colourway in off-white and spreading black dots across the mesh base. The silhouette's signature branding elements are also found in black on the heel, midsole and tongue, while the "N" logos are rendered in an almost white tone that matches the leather overlays that stretch across the entire sneaker.
 
At the time of writing, New Balance has not yet released any information on whether the New Balance 1906R "Polka Dot" will actually be released. But we'll stay tuned and keep you up to date.
