Yeezys Will Still Be Produced, Just Without Branding

Many fans around the world were wondering if adidas would continue to produce Yeezys after the label ended its historic partnership with Ye in October. And now, hold on tight, because in a third quarter earnings conference call on November 9th, the sports giant confirmed it will continue to produce Yeezys. But then, they’ll do it without the Yeezy branding.

Harm Ohlmeyer, the interim CEO when Kasper Rørsted leaves the company on November 11th and is succeeded by Puma CEO Bjørn Gulden on January 1st, 2023, explained that adidas owns the intellectual property of the Yeezys designs and colourways. However, adidas does not own the rights to the "Yeezy" brand logo.

With the discontinuation of the Yeezy line in 2022, adidas will lose a big profit. At the same time, Ohlmeyer said that a lot of money will be saved with the licence and marketing payments made to Ye. Furthermore, he confirms that Yeezy sneakers may be released as early as 2023, but without the Yeezy logo.

New adidas Yeezys Dropping Without Logo

It is still unclear when the new Yeezys will drop. However, fans should be happy about the news, because the 350, 700, 500, and FOAM RNNRS won't be missing forever. At the same time, we ask ourselves whether the older models will lose or gain value. After all, they are the last models with a Yeezy logo.
