The first retailer has put the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lakers" on its release calendar. Sneakersnstuff is releasing the latest Kobe sneaker on April 1st. But allegedly, this release is not supposed to happen, because a Nike spokesman announced a much later release date: "Certain launch dates will be confirmed at a later date," said a Nike representative. Is Nike still withholding Kobe products from us?

The official pictures of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lakers" have finally landed. A few days ago, the sneakers were seen for the first time. Anthony Davis showed the new colourway at the NBA All-Star Weekend 2020. Apparently, the drop on March 26th has not changed yet.

The shock still runs deep. The fatal accident on January 26th won’t be easily forgotten. Kobe Bryant was probably the most missed person at the NBA All-Star Weekend 2020, and most of the players were wearing his signature sneakers that weekend. There, they honoured him as a basketball pro and friend.
But, you can't imagine Kobe without his sneaker game either. We probably won’t see any more Nike signature sneakers from Kobe. But, there are still some colourways in the line-up.
The sneakers of Anthony Davis are especially very noticeable this weekend. The Lakers colours adorn the Nike Kobe 5 Protro. The whole base is covered with purple, black, and yellow colours, while the golden signature of Kobe finds its place on the heel. A silver Kobe logo on the tongue and a translucent outsole complete this coveted design.
Does the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lakers" have a release date?
