The Nike Air Max 90 NRG Turns Thirty Years Old

"1990" and "2020"—these are probably the key features of the new Nike Air Max 90 NRG. Hard to believe, but true. The Nike Air Max 90 will be turning thirty next year. Almost three decades ago, the first Nike Air Max 90 appeared, which showed the strong Infrared color.

To this day, the silhouette is still an unmistakable Nike creation. Since 1990, new colourways and collabs have come out again and again. Currently, Nike and Undefeated are even releasing a huge AM90 capsule.

This coming 2020, the success story is set to continue. Probably next year we will see several colourways celebrating the AM 90’s 30th birthday. And, it looks like the big celebration will start off with a luxurious 30-year anniversary edition of the Nike Air Max 90 NRG.

The sneakers feature a sail-coloured upper with a combination of mesh, leather, and suede materials. Bright colours accentuate the monochromatic style with embossed lace locks all over the silhouette. The left sneaker shows "1990" while the right one with "2020". A tonal midsole and Air unit complete the overall design. Nike is even said to include two different laces with this latest model.

So far, Nike hasn't announced a release date yet. They will most likely drop soon because the official pictures are already out.
