The First Pictures of the Star Wars x adidas Nite Jogger "R2-D2" Have Appeared
After we saw the Ultra Boost "X-Wing-Star-Fighter" and the "Millennium Falcon" in September, insiders now reveal pictures of a possible Star Wars x adidas Nite Jogger "R2-D2". adidas' sporty Nite Joggers are inspired by the little Astromech droid from 1977 and take up most of the details of the robot on the upper material--a must-have for all Star Wars fans!
The Nite Jogger and R2-D2 are simply a perfect match. Maybe it's because they are almost the same age? The Nite Jogger was first released in 1980 and was already a mega running shoe at that time. The retro shoes take 100% the colors of R2-D2. White and blue colours as well as metallic accents adorn the Nite Jogger. adidas uses light mesh and leather materials, while the Boost sole provides perfect comfort and cushioning.
While the bronze-coloured details on the sneakers are reminiscent of the R2-D2 cables, unique accents on the tongue and on the Boost sole round off the overall look. The tongue has an R2-D2 tag and the midsole is printed with two blue screwdrivers.
"May the Force be with you" with this new shoe!
