Why Was the adidas Yeezy Boost 650 Not Released?

We already know that the Kanye West and adidas Yeezy line is surprisingly large. And, the partners don't seem to see an end to the sneaker game just yet. New silhouettes are debuting almost every year, and they continue to complement the massive sneaker line.

But, perhaps one sample that the sneaker community would have liked to see live never reached the market. We are talking about the adidas Yeezy Boost 650, and these sneakers were first seen in 2017. At that time, the model caused a lot of excitement as it could be a possible hybrid between the Yeezy 350 and the Yeezy 750.

Three years and two colourways later, the sneakers have still not been released. The silhouette remains safely hidden in Kanye's safe. The first two colourways were white and black. The upper of the two iterations are said to be made entirely of Primeknit. At first glance, the shape seems to come from the 350. The sporty shape and ribbed outsole remind us of the adidas fan favorite. Due to the raised collar, the sneakers take on some light Yeezy Boost 750 vibes.

Could the adidas Yeezy Boost 650 finally be released in 2020?

The last time the 650 Yeezy made its rounds was in 2017, and hardly any news has ever come out since then. Considering that the aesthetic of Kanye West has changed a lot since then, a release would be rather unlikely anytime soon.
