Rihanna Brings Back the FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty
As creative director of the FENTY x PUMA collaboration, Rihanna has already released a new shoe, the Avanti sneaker, in September. This is inspired by football and known around the world. Now, in response to many fan requests, Rihanna is bringing back an old favourite: the Creeper, which was voted shoe of the year in 2016. The original FENTY x PUMA Creeper was first presented in 2015. It utilised Puma's suede design but had a raised platform and a rigid rubber sole that took the sports brand to new heights. The latest version, the FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty, has a much bigger, bolder and more eye-catching oversize, a stacked rubber sole and colours that pop, such as classic black/white, ultra-bright blue/green and sweet lavender/cherry red.
"When we designed the Creeper Phatty, we wanted to revive the OG Creeper that was loved by so many. It's a classic silhouette that was missed, so the return had to be bigger," said Rihanna.
"The original Creeper changed the game for us," added Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer at PUMA. "We knew it was time to bring it back. This shoe has universal appeal and we've seen tremendous consumer enthusiasm for the silhouette returning. We're excited to not only expand the existing silhouette with the Creeper Phatty, but to expand our offering for the entire family."
The FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty will be available from 30 November via the PUMA webstore. The silhouette is available in sizes for people of all ages and genders.
