Reebok Releases New Cushioning Technology

With the Boost sole already in the Instapump Fury, Reebok hasn't released any new technology so far. Now, we have a pimped up oldie coming out soon. Reebok has finally realized it's time to revolutionize cushioning technology.

Reebok has recently announced a new cushioning system called Zig Kinetica. The new technology will be used in the Reebok Concept Type 1 sneaker. The element consists of a three-part midsole: a FloatRide Fuel, Energy Shell, and Energy Web. The FloatRide Fuel element supports heel padding and energy recovery. The Energy Shell element, on the other hand, provides increased stability. Finally, the Energy Web element is added for additional, more efficient reaction.

"The sole was super interesting because it has three completely separate elements," says Garbstore founder and Kinetica designer Ian Paley. "It's pretty unusual to find complete units that have two complementary parts. But to find one with three, I just found it very interesting."
