The latest version of the Nike Air Max 97 is dominated by an elegant silver, which is contrasted by some bright colours. For example, the brandings on the sides, tongues, and soles are wrapped in a bright green. The visible Air unit also presents a colour gradient from red to green.

The streamlined elements of the shoe remain true to the elegant silver, whereby the mudguards and tongue tags are enhanced by a safari print. The middle panels stand out a little from the rest as they flaunt a deep black. The midsoles remain colourless, while the outsoles use a mix of black and white.

To make the affiliation to the "Kiss My Airs" theme clear, small patches with matching lettering appear on the external back portion. The spaces between the lines have also received a special treatment and reflect light in the dark.
