Preview of Jordan Brand, Nike, and Converse NBA All-Star Weekend 2020

In just a few weeks, the city of Chicago will be hosting the NBA All-Star Weekend 2020. At the same time, many fans and "pilgrims" will probably travel to this place to be closer to Michael Jordan. With the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan no doubt became the GOAT. Even today, the team is still very much associated with the basketball legend himself. Apart from that known fact, Nike, Converse, and Jordan Brand will also be meeting in the city to release a total of 18 sneakers celebrating this special event in Illinois.

This new package of Jordan Brand will probably be especially celebrated by most. Some sneakers are actually a tribute to the Windy City. The best sneakers are without a doubt from the "New Beginnings" pack: a set that includes the Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 and the Air Ship. These special shoes pay tribute to Michael's first signature shoe and the silhouette he wore before the introduction of the Air Jordan line, while also introducing what is said to be the most authentic new release of Air Jordan 1.

The Chicago look is also evident on the new Air Jordan 34, which features the Chicago Transit Line colours on the heel. In addition, there's an Air Jordan 3 "Retro U" with "Nike CHI" instead of "Nike Air" on the heel, an Air Jordan 1 High WMNS "UNC to Chicago" that shows the colours of the Bulls and his alma mater, and an Air Jordan 34 SE. Other releases include an Air Jordan 9 "Racer Blue", which was also discovered in the past weeks as well as two colourways from Russel Westbrook's Why Not Zer0.3.

On the other hand, Nike is concentrating on its new additions. The Nike LeBron 17 "Monstars" features inspiration from the movie Space Jam 2, which will be released next year. Kevin Durant's KD12 pays tribute to the Chicago flag while Kyrie Irving's Kyrie 6 adds a model with a red upper and gold accents to the whole set. Also released is a Zoom Freak 1 "Employee of the Month" and Paul Georg's PG 4, inspired by his favourite drink Gatorade.

Further releases include the sneakers by Converse—the actual innovator of basketball sneakers. Most notable is the fashionable Converse All-Star Pro BB with a bold white tone and a low-cut model with red and blue accents. In addition, there are two more colourways from Converse Pro Leather. Both have a white base that stands out with either red or blue details. With this, Converse points to the time of Michael Jordan in North Carolina and much more specifically to the Converse sneakers he wore.

Many releases are expected to drop in time for the NBA All-Star Weekend 2020. But, most of the sneakers will probably drop between February 14th and 16th.
