New Balance Brings Back the Classic 998 Grey

Ronnie Fieg kicked off this year's 30th anniversary celebrations of the New Balance 998 with the release of his two "Broadacre City" sneakers last month. Now New Balance itself is taking up the theme and will soon be bringing back one of the original colourways of the sneaker. An absolute highlight for all fans of the classic.

The Boston-based sportswear brand officially confirmed today that the classic New Balance 998 "Grey" will be back on the market on May 12th. The now classic silhouette first appeared in 1993 and was the first sneaker in the popular 990 line to feature Abzorb cushioning in the midsole. The reissue retains the traditional mesh and pigskin upper, with panels in various shades of grey. A reflective silver "N" logo appears on the sides, while white laces are attached to the midfoot.
