Upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid "Wear-Away" Has a Pre-Worn Look

For Nike, wear-away materials are nothing new. The sporting goods manufacturer recognised the trend very early on and released several sneakers that feature a wear-away upper. Therefore, the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Wear-Away" is a little interesting. Its upper is reminiscent of the eye-catching look.

Usually, you wear a wear-away sneaker until the extra layer wears off and reveals a new style. But the new Air Jordan 1 Mid "Wear-Away" looks already slightly worn, because the black overlays appear that way and reveal a red paint job. Next to it, the black tongues, Swooshes, and red Jumpman then pick up the contrasting look again.

A white leather base then remains inconspicuous so as not to deviate too much from the intended effect. This includes a white toebox, white side panels, and a clean collar. Yellowed midsoles and black outsoles then appear at the very bottom.
