First Look: Off-White x Air Jordan 5

A few days ago, we had our first look of the Off-White x Air Jordan 5. The sneakers are actually part of a two-piece collab, which will probably come out next year.

Just recently, insiders have delivered the best pictures so far. The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 comes with a black mesh with those familiar Off-White features. A view of the cable tie is not available yet. Further details about this new iteration are soon to come.

We can confidently assume that Jordan Brand is now preparing specifically for the NBA All-Star Weekend from 14 to 16 February 2020. The NBA All-Star Game 2020 is the 69th edition of the said event. In addition to that is the 30th birthday of Air Jordan 5, and rumour has it that Virgil Abloh will be releasing an Air Jordan 5 to celebrate the occasion.

The sneakers are supposed to come with a black upper made of synthetic materials. Even in the dark, you can see the AJ5 due to the fully reflective effect on the tongue. The inscribed laces, transparent inserts on the sides, and the ripstop fabric give the sneakers a slightly deconstructed look.

A "23" in the heel area plus the slightly yellowed sole are no doubt reminiscent of the early Air Jordan 5 from 1990 and complete the overall design.

So far, we still know absolutely nothing about the sneakers. However, many insiders are currently speculating that the sneakers will be dropping on the NBA All-Star weekend.
