Here Is the Nike N7 Summer 2021 Collection
Since 2009, the Nike N7 Fund has already donated US$7.5 million to 259 communities and organisations working for the betterment of indigenous peoples in the United States of America. In addition to financial support, Nike has also brought awareness of these communities into the mainstream, with sustainable representation at the heart of the 2021 summer collection.
With the support of Lyle Thompson, Kyrie Irving, and Lauren Schad, Nike has designed a Nike Dunk Low, a Kyrie Low 4, and an Air Zoom Type that reflect each athlete's background. The personal design of all three silhouettes not only connects the sneakers to the athletes, but also to the Aboriginal communities from which the three hail. The colours of the Lakota medicine wheel, star quilt, and wampum shell are reflected in the N7 Fund's latest footwear collection. Thompson, Irving, and Schad understand that they represent something bigger than themselves, and they hope that the wearers of their shoes will feel connected to the resilience and history of communities like the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
Don't Miss the Release of the Nike N7 Summer 2021 Collection
According to Nike, the entire collection, including apparel, will be released in America on June 21st. I doubt that we will also be able to welcome them in Europe, but if that should be the case, we'll let you know, of course.
