Don't worry, friends. Nike is not lost in age. The new silhouette from Beaverton combines the classic Nike Air Max 90 with the style of modern day. This year, the AM90 is turning 30 years old. We have in fact already seen a few colourways celebrating the birthday of the retro runner.

The special anniversary feature is the Nike Air Max 2090. The new sneakers are based on the same DNA and harmonize quite well with the new updates and futuristic design.

The Air Unit alone is bigger and optimizes cushioning while the window has grown by 200%. The Swoosh isn’t actually new, as the trademark is seen above the mudguard. But, the AM2090 embeds the logo deep into the material.

In addition, Nike adds the famous waffle outsole. The traction outsole was a success even then, so why should the new version do without it?

But, some design elements remain untouched. The mudguard comes from the upper and is reminiscent of the first shape as well as the rear heel insert and the cage that surrounds the Air unit. A half "air" lettering above the Air unit completes this awesome hybrid.

Nike has already presented the official pictures. But, there is no official release date yet. According to Nike, the new sneakers will drop in spring 2020.
