Nike Drops the Retro Silhouette Shox TL in Black and White
Sports giant Nike expands its Shox TL range in two new colourways for both ladies and gents. The line was first conceptualized in 1984 with pillar damping technology, which was inspired by sprinters who tend to "jump" on the track after the impact. Almost 16 years later, the first Shox model with its new and innovative technology was launched. Hand on heart, who else has an old Shox on their shoe shelf? We can pretty much see virtual hands being raised right now. With this amazing technology, sneakerheads need no longer be convinced of the Shox’s value, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy new colourways, makeovers, and collabs today.
This week Nike continues the Shox story with the Shox TL and launches two clean, summer sneakers in black and white. Both kicks come with a breathable mesh upper and the same Shox technology. The pre-formed overlays in the midsole area, which fit snugly and therefore feel particularly comfortable for the wearer, provide optimum support. So that you won’t lose your grip even during a full sprint, a modified, durable outsole with a waffle iron profile made of solid rubber has been added. The two sneakers differ slightly from each other in the TPU cage. The black Shox has a continuous mesh around the cage, while the white Shox has small circular shapes featured throughout the mesh.
