Nike Releases the Dunk Low "Samba" Again

Update 06.08.2020

The Nike Dunk Low SP "Samba" from 2001 is being re-released. Nike has now published the official pictures of the sneaker. After 19 years, the exclusive pair from Japan will get a remake true to the original and a much bigger release.

The Samba Dunk has a two-piece colour scheme of blue and silver and is characterized by the carbon fibers on the Swoosh and heel. It's actually very simple in construction and easy to recognize. Nevertheless, the sneakers have never reached reseller platforms like StockX after almost two decades. The release is reportedly on August 21st at Nike and selected retailers.

The revivals at Nike have increased significantly in recent weeks. Among the last known sneakers are the Dunk Low "Brazil", the Nike SB Dunk Mid "Griffey", and the confirmed Air Jordan 13 "Flint". On top of that, we now have this issue, which we last saw in 2001.

The Nike Dunk Low "Samba" is rumoured to be preparing for its return after almost 20 years and it's keeping its characteristic features. Among the recognizable colours are the bright blue base, the shiny grey overlays and the red Swooshes and heels.

The leather construction also mixes white laces with a grey lining and carbon-like insignia.
