Zoom Freak 1 "Roses" Inspired by Giannis' Father

While some are still waiting longingly for the Nike and Giannis Antetokounmpo x Paramount Pictures "Coming to America" collab, the basketball player drops his next Zoom Freak 1 in a really clean "Roses" colourway. Antetokounmpo presented his first signature shoe "Zoom Freak 1" with Nike back on June 28th and since then, his fans had been urging him about the release.

The Zoom Freak 1 "Roses" is a tribute to Giannis' late father, Charles, and is dressed in pure white and decorated with "University Red" accents on the outsole, heel, and tongue. As with the Paramount Pictures collab, Giannis sets the side and middle Swooshes in metallic gold and complements his design through his homage lettering "I am my father’s legacy" on the outsole. His father, Charles, was a former Nigerian soccer player who died in September 2017 at the age of 54.
