Foot Locker Inc. Releases Nike's "The Evolution of the Swoosh" Collection

Ever wondered where the Nike Swoosh came from and how it came into being? Nike founder Phil Knight, a university accounting lecturer at the time, asked graphic design student Carolyn Davidson to draw "a stripe or a logo" that represented speed and movement in one. Davidson drew some designs for Knight. Among other things, the student was originally inspired by the Greek goddess of victory Nike and hence came up with the Swoosh, which represented the wings of the said Greek goddess. The logo, which by now everyone in the world should know, cost Nike 35 US dollars. Since then, the Swoosh has adorned tens of thousands of sneakers and is now soon to be released in a huge collection: "The Evolution of the Swoosh".  It is said to come in three comprehensive packs courtesy of Foot Locker, Inc.
The "Script Swoosh" pack includes a Nike Air Force 1, Air Max 97, Air Max Plus, and React Element 55, which will be available for both gents and kids and features a superimposed Swoosh. The black/white sneakers will be released on August 10th.
The Air Force 1, Air Max Plus, Air Max 97, and React 55 from the "Sunburst" pack are based on the 1972 logo. The circular Swoosh allowed clubs back then to arch their names over the logo. The pack drops on August 31st.

Last but not least, there is the "Swoosh Chain" pack represented by Air Max Plus, Air Force 1, and Air Max 97. This package is exclusive to kids and features a chain-linked Swoosh inspired from the ‘70s. The child-friendly sneakers will be released on August 17th.
