Nike N7 Collection Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary with Pendleton Prints
Nike N7 and Pendleton have decided to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of N7 together by releasing a huge collection. The whole line revolves around the traditional Navajo storm patterns.
Tracie Jackson is the main designer of the collection. She designed the pattern in honour of her great-grandmother, Phoebe Nez. She was a member of the Black Streaked Wood People clan of the Navajo nation and a talented traditional weaver.
Tracie Jackson continues this tradition of carpet making and has decided to partner with Nike to introduce a large collection. In total, the two partners have released five sneakers with the unique Pendleton print. An Air Force 1, Air Jordan 8, Zoom Heritage, Air zoom Pegasus 36, and Air Moc.
In addition, the sneakers will be accompanied by a matching apparel collection and a Pendleton Nike N7 blanket last manufactured in 2013.
For Jackson, this is a special honor: "Without my great-grandmother, I wouldn't have learned anything about my culture, and without my culture, I wouldn't have been a designer." My family ties influence my identity as a native speaker. “
The release of the Pendleton x Nike N7 collection is definitely not one to be missed!
