Nike Releases an Air Flight '89 "Planet of Hoops"

The Nike Air Flight has been a popular sneaker since its debut in 1989 and has made a huge contribution to basketball history. The older sneakerheads among us should still know the fan favorite especially well. A smooth leather and comfortable Air Unit made this sneaker the ultimate basketball sneaker.

But the silhouette has been holding back for a long time and hardly showed itself on the streets. Now the sneaker gets a violent comeback. For starters, let’s take a look at the lower base. The model has a sole that could have come from the Air Jordan 4, as the double and wavy lines strongly remind us of the fourth signature sneaker by Michael Jordan. Further up is a smooth white leather, which looks very sturdy due to the many overlays and grey inserts that give a round finish.

What "The Court Planet of Hoops" refers to is not clear yet. But the details that adorn the sneaker are very strong. The Swoosh and some of the overlays have a reflective feature, while the eyelets, outsole, and the rear "800165" lettering have a glow-in-the-dark effect.

Don't Miss the Release of Nike Air Flight '89 "Planet of Hoops"

Retro fans will definitely love this sneaker. Nike has already published the official pictures. Unfortunately there is no exact release date yet. We will stay on it and keep you up to date.
