Sotheby's Auctions Barack Obama's Nike Hyperdunk PEs

To celebrate President's Day (or Washington's birthday), auction house Sotheby's and Nike are auctioning off an incredibly rare sneaker. Soon, you can bid on the unique Nike Hyperdunk PE "Barack Obama".

Nike created this Hyperdunk especially for the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. According to auction house Sotheby's, only two pairs of the Nike Hyperdunk PE "Barack Obama" exist. One is being auctioned here (and was not owned or worn by Barack Obama), while the other edition is actually owned by Barack Obama.

The sneakers have a subtle colour scheme in blue, white, and red. But among the best details are the brandings that allude to the former president. On the tongues, we see the presidential seal and the embroidered number "44" commemorating the 44th President of the United States.

The Nike Hyperdunk PE "Barack Obama" will be auctioned in men's size 12.5 and will start with a bid of 25,000 US dollars. The auction ends on February 12th at 4:44 pm ET.
