This is how royal the Nike KD 16 "NY vs. NY" looks

Every summer, Nike hosts the annual NY vs. NY Streetball Tournament, where the city's best high school basketball players get to show off their distance shooting, defensive skills and dunking abilities. To celebrate the tournament, the brand often presents festive shoes like the Nike KD 16 "NY vs. NY" colorway. This model, worn by two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant during the 2023 NBA Western Conference Semis, has now been revealed in official photos. The subtle mix of burgundy leather and bright red accents gives this sneaker a regal touch, which is reflected in the Swoosh logos, "NY vs NY" emblems on the tongue and "Easy" heel details.
 
Elsewhere, mesh underlays, nubuck overlays and TPU panels pop up, while the royal hits in "Metallic Gold" add a touch of luxury to the piping, swooshes, logos and medallions. The first images can be seen here, and the release is scheduled for August 12, just in time for the end of the NY vs. NY tournament.
