Hardly any other sneaker revolutionized running like the Nike Air Max 97. 20 years ago, this sporty running shoe turned an unbelievable 20 years old. Athletes and joggers alike have trusted this running shoe since 1997.

But, in the last few years, the Nike Air Max 97 has developed into a real lifestyle sneaker. Due to the numerous collabs and colourways, the sneaker has certainly earned its place in fashion in the last two decades. Sneakerheads can now mix and match their favourite outfits and sneaker to create a new style every day. But, special editions are celebrated so fiercely that you wouldn’t really want to wear them just because they’re a lot harder to find.

This probably includes the new Nike Air Max 97 G "Grass". Hypebeasts will certainly know this unique style. Exactly a year ago, Nike released an Air Max 1 G "Grass". On StockX, you could get the cheapest pair for 430€-500€.

The Nike Air Max 97 G "Grass" is similar in design. The whole thing sits on a golf sole and a yellow Air unit. It also comes with a white mudguard accented with a yellow Swoosh on the side panels. But, the best and most striking detail of all is the upper material. The artificial grass looks quite similar to real grass as seen on the golf course.

The Nike Golf Air Max 97 "Grass" will be released on January 27th on Nike for Nike members only. You can definitely assume that these sneakers will be sold out pretty quickly.
