Back to the Roots with Bristol and Adidas SS19

Bristol and Adidas unveil their SS19 capsule that is soon to be released on June 29th. The street style collection by Luke Tadashi, Creative Director of Bristol Studios, pays homage to retro basketball culture. The brand's founder uses the same colour palette that is reminiscent of a certain time in his youth while being surrounded by the subdued colours during his earlier bike tours along the Pacific coast of Venice Beach.

"As children, my two best friends MAASAI and London rode their bicycles through Venice to ride with the adults in Venice Beach. We did this practically every day in summer, it was our ritual. This collection captures this time in our youth. The colour story is inspired by the colours we would see on our bike tours through Venice: colourful but subdued tones," says Luke Tadashi.

To give tribute to Luke's memories, the designer has had his own family members model the collection, along with others who are related to him, as well as his childhood friends MAASAI and London.

This collection definitely gives us the throwback feels! The said nostalgic capsule consists of a training jacket, snap pants, hoodie, t-shirt, ¾ shorts, BYW LVL II, and Adilette slides, which will all be available from June 29th at adidas.com and other selected retailers.
