Bricks & Wood x New Balance 57/40 Is Inspired by South Los Angeles
New Balance has launched a new project with CEO and founder Kacey Lynch of L.A.-based Bricks & Wood. The partners have designed a New Balance 57/40 inspired by the South Los Angeles lifestyle. Check out the first images and release details here.
Green suede makes up most of the upper of the collaborative New Balance 57/40, hinting at the neighbourhood of South Central L.A. On the sides, you'll then find silver accents as overlay panels, as well as New Balance N logos and heel inserts. Light brown and white midsoles, along with pink outsoles then complete the look perfectly.
In addition to the 57/40, Bricks & Wood and New Balance created a short film called "Jungle to Jungle" that tells the story of a South Central boy who grew up designing a shoe, while being an example to aspiring youth everywhere that you can turn your dreams into reality.
"Kacey and his team's passion for product storytelling and their strong commitment to their community is what initially drew us to them," says Joe Grondin, New Balance's Senior Collaboration and Energy Product Manager. "We're excited to introduce New Balance's global audience to Bricks & Wood and are excited to bring New Balance to South Central with this collaboration."
