Fall Out Boy could soon collaborate with adidas

adidas recently announced a new colorway of the Stan Smith in collaboration with Homer Simpson and now seems to be returning to the spotlight of the sneaker world. Recently, a pair of sneakers with the mark of Fall Out Boy was spotted. The nostalgic boy band showed off a lifestyle sneaker with their logo on Instagram as a possible hint to the upcoming collaboration.

Although the silhouette isn't entirely clear, the perforated side stripes, leather extensions on the heel and smooth toe boxes are reminiscent of the classic Stan Smith. But there's more to the shoe, as the soles are free of visible stitching and adidas logos, and are instead covered by an irregular layer that wraps around the front blade. Plus, the blue accents created by the three-stripe design and the aforementioned rear extensions give the Fall Out Boy x adidas Stan Smith Vulc that certain something. And the best part? The sneaker is said to be a tribute to the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, as the FOB crown emblem on the back picks up a line of lyrics from the song "Young Volcanoes.
